SO.
I've been working on a news article since about the 20th or something, probably going to be posted around the 3rd or 5th or something, I don't know yet. It's about the lack of variety in bakeries and the decline in traditional sweetshops and its impact upon artists - namely those among us on deviantart. I've had a few threads running in the thumbs forum, but I still have more collecting to do. I'm going to make news features a monthly thing, and they will be accompanied with an article. I already know what the next article is going to be about! It ties into a photo I recently did, but I'm delaying putting it up because I (personally) think it is awesome. I'm trying to submit better stuff now, because looking back through my gallery, I realise I've been posting absolute shite. In fact, this morning, I made an effort to clean up my submissions. I have gotten rid of about 20 odd deviations, and changed the "featured" option in my gallery (I only just realised I could do it, but I never look in my gallery...and I guess it shows!). So yes, nice and clean.

I've finished all of my exams now, I think I did ok in Film studies, all right in English, Geography went better than I thought and don't even talk to me about Art. Results come out on the 14th August but due to my location changing it'll take a little bit longer to receive them. Great =/ But, since I've finished my exams, I'll just pick and choose days to go in for my last 5 weeks. I want to keep going to English and Film, in Art I have my own crappy project on the go, but it keeps me busy, as for geography...hahaha...yeah right, we'll see though I suppose.

Anyway, I have also been baking a lot lately! Scary stuff, Kim in the kitchen, but I need to get my practise up. I've stupidly taken it upon myself to make Alfie's littlest brother's birthday cake, his birthday being 4 days after I move in. So for the next 6 weeks there will be many cakes around the house. I am trying to master buttercream, and I think I got it! Mix it up then put it in the fridge for about half an hour. It was so much easier to use then! Also I have to figure out colouring fondant, since I don't have access to pre-coloured fondant at this point due to lack of money, but I have discovered Cake Craft Shop and I love it, it has (almost) everything I need! So yes there is a happy Kim about. I'm just working a lot more now to earn more money so I can buy cake tins and the like for the cake(s) I have/want to make.

But yeah, also, there might not be much from me photograhy-wise for a little while, I want to get back up to speed with some good stuff instead of the rubbish I've been sticking up here for a while. So as a final thing, I apologise to all my watchers and other DeviantArtists for my spamming of utter balls.
